Jaguafrangos is founded by two brothers who aimed at dealing with poultry
creation, slaughter and trading, with its headquarters located in the city
of Jaguapitã, close to the highway PR-340. 
In a constant search for improvement in its productive sector, during
the first three months the company battled to obtain new consumer markets,
reaching Curitiba (capital of the state of Parana). At this stage, the
market demand for the products of the company demanded that it increased
its production, which at the beginning of the year 1995 was already 17,000
(seventeen thousand) poultry/day.

At the end of 1997 the company restructured its plant, obtaining an increase
in its productivity to 22,000 (twenty-two thousand) poultry/day and expanded
its warehousing capacity to 500 tons. However, the main alteration was
the creation of a base which would allow the company to expand its production
through time, with no need to change its plant.

During this period the company concentrated its efforts on the mechanization
and modernization of its productive sector, once the company had always
been growing.

In February 2000 the company obtains its register in the Federal Inspection
System of the Ministry of Agriculture under the number 2913.
Also in the year 2000 the company felt the market pressures and, aiming
to conquer attractive markets, as is the case of the Brazilian Northeastern
coastal area where tourism garantees a good profit, the company makes
the decision of making seasoned products and also products such as sausage,
“mortadela” and “salsichão”. The company
knew that this would not be an easy job, once these products involve a
constant improvement process, thus it had to create an specific sector
for the developing and processing of such products and also had to acquire
new equipment.

At the beginning of the year 2001 the company starts trading the first
new seasoned products after the changes made in the previous year. Having
started dealing in the Northeastern market the company increases its production
to 36,000 (thirty-six thousand) poultry/day, with no need to change its
plant, once it already owned enough base to such a production increase.

Jaguafrangos begins its export program in September 2003 with the first
shipment to Hong Kong. Nowadays the company exports to Japan, China, Russia
and Senegal.

Nowadays the production of the company is about 75,000 (seventy thousand)
poultry/day. The constant improvement and the quality control, the acquisition
of modern equipment and the use of specialized labour force, make Jaguafrangos
an example of poultry slaughtehouse.
